Have there been times when I feel all alone in this world? Yes, many times! But, there are many reasons to conclude that we are not alone in our journey once we come to Christ Jesus as our Savior!There are many companions that He has given to accompany us. Some are invisible, but no less real, than those we can see and touch. It is His great love for us - His divine love - that is beyond our imagining.
"The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." Deuteronomy 31 :8
First, there is the person of Jesus Christ Himself. He gave Himself up to death so that we might live. He is our guiding Shepherd. He is our faithful Friend. He intercedes and pleads on our behalf before the throne of the Father.
Second, there are the saints that have gone before us and "surround" us!"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." Hebrews 12: 1
"The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God; and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together."—Romans 8:16, 17.
